When God made light so long ago
could he have been surprised
that He made shadows, too?
I hope so.
Would it not be boring to know everything?
I surmise that all the shadows made by light
were inadvertenty created —
that they exceeded God’s intent.

When man invents
(man made in God’s image)
sometimes the best results are accidents.
When we devise a thing
we might not know what it will bring
besides the thing we had in mind.

When we make children
it’s the same:
a blessing and a bane.
