MY RECALL JOGGED

I have begun my amnesia
regarding the massacre at Newtown —
twenty-six lives lost.

I’ve had my recall jogged to note
the massacre at Wounded Knee —
men, women and children —
nearly three hundred of them
killed with legal federal guns —
on December 29th, 1890.
