SHE’S JUST THAT WAY

She worries.

She worries that something might happen.

When it does not happen

she has taken on one burden.

When it does happen

she has dealt twice with the issue.

If someone says to her

“Don’t worry”

she may worry anyway

not because she’s contrary

but because she’s made that way.

She may wish

she didn’t worry

but that won’t mean she won’t.

She’s just that way

and it’s likely

you won’t change her.
