GUNS, GUNS, GUNS

I do not want a gun.
I once owned one
way back when I was young.

I think I’d run away
if someone pulled a gun on me.
(though I don’t run anymore)

Too many of our young
are done with life when they are young
because of guns.

The young quite often think
that guns are fun
and I recall when I did, too.

Nowadays the TV screens are filled
with images bodies shot
so I am not a fan of guns.

But maybe if ISIS came to get me
and was interested in my head
I’d wish I had a semi-automatic.
