FAR GREATER THAN MINE

Down the road a piece
is nearby Woodsbys
and they serve food
that encourages fat cells
to proliferate.

We’ve partaken of it
from time to time
because it’s close by
and we see folks so big
that we feel small
in comparison.

There’s lots of items
deluged with gravy
but I like best
their massive hot dogs
that require mouths to stretch
in order to devour them.

Those dogs come with fries
that I can never finish
even though sumptuous.

I avoid scales for a few days
after I’ve gone there.

Sometimes I shiver
as I consider some waist lines
far greater than mine.
