JET STREAM CLOUDS

March 9th, 2010 by Russ

When the dawn
cleared the sky of darkness
and the blue canopy returned
to claim the sky
jet stream clouds
crisscrossed above me
looking like
a two year old’s crayon marks
on construction paper
that a grand parent
dutifully admires
and suggests
there might be an artist
in the family.
