When I returned from walking

I  stretched out in my recliner

and I prayed out loud:

“Lord, I’d love a piece of that peach pie

resting now upon our kitchen counter”.

And sure enough

within minutes

I was chewing answered prayer.

Later I became aware

(as happens every day)

that there is hunger everywhere.

It’s true, I give a little here and there —

now and then.  it’s not enough I know.

But still that pie was pleasant to my taste.
