ELASTICITY

In our exercise room

a friend who was working out

said to me

“I have lost my elasticity!”

So we commiserated.

I’ve lost mine, too —

or most of it.

But isn’t it great

that we had it —

and for a number of years?

What a gift to have been agile

for so long.

And now we are fragile.

It was great while it lasted.

Elasticity is almost as good as

electricity.
