he’ll be remembered
for a little while —
perhaps for long
when he is gone.
Does it matter
as the world moves on?

What matters is today —
quite possibly tomorrow.
In them there’ll likely be
a little joy and sorrow —
perhaps more than he’s earned.

He could worry as to
how he’ll be regarded
when he’s descarded, but
how he hanbdles time’s unfolding
is his real concern —
and not his legacy.
