There is a corner here —

when I first came to it

about three years ago

and turned west

I praised with all my being.

The view was so  pleasing —

I scarce could contain myself.

I live near that corner now

and with ease can reach it —

and most days do.

There may be times

when the intensity of my praise

is less than at others

but I never fail to honor that space

my footsteps tread upon

when my eyes first  scanned the distance

that offers more beauty

than  I deserve.
