THE WOMAN WHO LIVES WITH ME

The woman who lives with me
is prone to hyperbole.

For she can take what’s bland
and make it seem so grand —

can take a quotidian day —
infuse it ‘til it’s gay.

The truth  she’s good at stretching —
can make it very interesting.
and she may make up stuff
if  what’s real is not  enough.

She often takes what’s factual
and makies it most unusual.

But when she says “I love you”
I consider it as true.
